I absolutely love minimalism, and I often find myself working to simplify an image as much as possible in camera. I try to keep distracting elements to an absolute minimum – so I look for subtle light, simple compositions, a clean color scheme, and a clear point of interest to draw the eye. I use a variety of camera techniques to achieve the look I want – a wide aperture for a narrow depth of field… or a long shutter speed to blur out unwanted details.

Here’s a small collection of my minimalist images. Take a few deep breaths and find a little bit of peace in your own soul. That’s what it’s all about.
